NAP Mailing lists

What is a mailing list?

A system that allows people to send e-mail to one address, such as general@napsa.org.za. This e-mail is then sent to all of the subscribers to that mailing list. In this way, people who may be using different kinds of e-mail access can participate in discussions together.

Why should I join?

It is important to the NAP staff that we put effort into satisfying the real, and not the perceived, needs of the South African disabled community. Thus the following five mailing lists have been created.

We hope that individuals will subscribe to these lists to facilitate good interaction.

How do I join?

There are two ways to join the mailing list:

  1. By email (recommended) – Send a blank e-mail "Name of list"-join@napsa.org.za for example general-join@napsa.org.za or deaf-join@napsa.org.za etc. You can put subscribe in the subject line, but it is not required.
You will then receive an e-mail requesting confirmation of your subscription, to which you should just reply, including the original message.
You will then receive a welcome message to let you know that you are subscribed.
  2. Via the website – Visit the following web page at: http://lists.napsa.org.za/mailman/listinfo/
Click on the list you wish to join.
Enter your details in "Subscribing to..." and pressing the Subscribe button.
You will then receive a welcome message to let you know that you are subscribed.
